Question 1

Who is Bidwicket for?

Accepted Answer

Bidwicket is for independent home-service contractors and small crews, including trades such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, and landscaping. The workspace is built around preparing and sharing quotes for service work.

Question 2

What can contractors do in the workspace today?

Accepted Answer

Contractors can create quotes with customer and project details, work scope, a U.S. dollar amount, and optional service address or valid-through date. They can keep quotes together, see whether a quote has been viewed or accepted, and share its customer link. Creating quotes requires an active subscription confirmed by Stripe.

Question 3

What can a customer do with a shared quote link?

Accepted Answer

The link opens the contractor’s quote for review, including the quoted work and total. Customers can ask a question and accept the quote from that page. The current page does not collect a deposit or process a payment.

Question 4

Do I need an active subscription to create quotes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bidwicket checks that Stripe confirms an active subscription before a contractor can create a quote. If the subscription is inactive or its status cannot be confirmed, quote creation stays locked. Customers use the quote link shared with them to review a quote.

Question 5

Does Bidwicket send automated follow-ups?

Accepted Answer

No. Automated email and SMS follow-ups are not available in the current workflow. A contractor can record a customer’s separate email and SMS permissions on a quote, but recording consent does not send messages. Automated follow-ups remain unavailable until setup with the required messaging provider is complete.

Question 6

Can customers pay a deposit from the quote link?

Accepted Answer

No. A customer can review and accept a quote, but the current quote page does not collect deposits or record payments. Deposit collection remains unavailable until setup with the required payment provider is complete.
